The headquarters of the Canadian Space Agency is of national
importance. It contains extremely sensitive and costly equipment. Therefore,
it is of vital importance to protect its valuable contents and electronically
stored data in the event of a major earthquake.
The use of Pall Friction Dampers significantly increased the damage control
capacity of the structure while offering savings in the initial cost of construction.
Construction was completed in 1992.
